What a fabric pot does

The wall passes air, so a root reaching the edge dries back there and branches into the substrate instead of circling the rootball. The result is a denser root system in the same volume. That holds for fabric pots generally; we stock several brands of them in this category.

So what you actually choose Root Pouch on

Sturdiness and lifespan. A thicker, firmer pot stands up when wet and lasts several cycles, where a thin one sags after one and tears when lifted. The Boxer build sits at the sturdy end of that spectrum. So count per cycle rather than per purchase: a pot used three times costs less per use than two disposable ones.

3.8, 12, 16, 22, 30, 39, 45 and 56 litres. That is enough spread to pot a plant up in stages without jumping two sizes each time. Bear in mind that a fabric pot dries faster than a rigid pot of the same volume, especially on a bare floor.

How long does a Root Pouch last?
Several cycles, provided you rinse it between them and let it dry fully. Root residue in the fabric is the usual reason one gets thrown out.

Can it go in the washing machine?
Rinsing and drying is enough, and gentler on the fabric.

Does it need a tray underneath?
