Read the grow chart, not just the label. This brand gives its doses as ranges rather than single figures.

Hy-Pro is a Dutch brand with a compact range: base nutrition for three substrates, a root stimulator per substrate, three bloom boosters and a handful of separate products. What matters most with this brand is not which bottle you pick but where you get the dose from.

The base and the sets

Terra, Coco A and B and Hydro A and B form the base. Alongside them sit Cal-Mag, Generator, a nitric-acid pH down and the Spraymix, both as concentrate and ready to use. To get started there are the Starter Packs for terra and hydro and the Smart Box discovery packs.

The dose is a range, not a number

This is where most pages about this brand go wrong, ours included in the past. Hy-Pro publishes a grow chart in which the dose moves week by week, and for the Rootstimulator there is the added instruction to give it at the same concentration as your base feed. Take one cell out of that chart and print it as a fixed dose, and you have someone feeding at half the specified rate for most of the cycle. So work from Hy-Pro's own chart rather than from a single figure, even one printed on the bottle.

Two ranges of three, and they do not work the same way

The Rootstimulator comes in Terra, Coco and Hydro. Hy-Pro publish no separate composition or analysis for those three; what differs is the schedule they sit in. The Epic bloom boosters, Boost, Bloom and Blast, are described individually with their own component lists. Two ranges from one brand, then, where in one case you are choosing a schedule and in the other a product. Do not carry a conclusion about one range across to the other.

Which Rootstimulator should I have?
The one for your substrate, because that is the schedule it belongs to. Do not expect a different composition in the bottle.

Can I combine the Epic boosters?
They are intended per phase. Read the components on each bottle, because those genuinely differ.

Why is there no NPK on some products?
Because Hy-Pro do not publish one for them. We do not fill that in with an estimate.
