Aptus

Aptus works in concentrates and small packs, which makes the range more compact than it looks. What makes it awkward is that the programme is spread over three categories: the bottles with the nutrients, the powders in the root zone and the leaf product under plant health. Starting on this page shows you all of them at once.

The three places

Most of it sits under Nutrients: All-in-One in powder and liquid form, the separate elements N-Boost, P-Boost, K-Boost and CaMg-Boost, then Startbooster, Topbooster, Super-PK, Regulator, Enzym plus, Fulvic-Blast, Humic-Blast, NutriSpray and System-Clean, along with the made-up Believerpack and the 50 ml Tent Sets Basic and Pro. Under Substrates and Growing Media are the three root-zone powders: Micromix Drip, Micromix Soil and Mycor Mix. And under Plant Health sits Fungone, on its own and as a 1 to 4 concentrate.

Why the powders sit apart

Because they are a different kind of thing. The bottles go into your water; the Micromix powders and Mycor Mix go into or onto the substrate and work in the root zone. That distinction also decides how you apply them, so they are filed by what they do rather than by the name on the label. If you want the whole Aptus programme together you are therefore looking in two places. The same goes for Fungone, which is used on the leaf and so sits under plant health.

Two Aptus products that work against each other

This is why a brand page earns its place. System-Clean is an oxidising system cleaner, while Mycor Mix and Enzym plus are exactly the products that rely on living biology and on enzymes. An oxidiser and products like those do not belong in the same watering: the cleaner does precisely what it is built to do, and the other one pays for it. Fungone works against fungus and deserves the same thought. So run them one after another rather than side by side, and read each product page before building a schedule. Neither product page can tell you this on its own, because the problem only appears once you buy both.
