This page holds the feeds for the vegetative phase, the weeks in which the plant builds leaf and stem. Two things decide what you buy: the medium you grow in, and whether the plant is ready for full strength yet.

Start is not a growth feed

A fresh cutting or seedling has barely any root and will burn on a full dose. CANNA Start and Plagron Start Up exist for exactly that: a light mix for the first weeks that works on any medium. Once roots fill the pot you move on to the vega feeds below. A root stimulator belongs in the same window.

One vega bottle per medium

In soil you feed CANNA Terra Vega, Plagron Terra Grow or Alga Grow. For systems CANNA splits the vega bottle three ways, Hydro Vega A+B, Aqua Vega A+B and COGR Vega A+B, each matched to a different watering setup; CANNA's own feed chart says which one fits yours. FloraFlex adds a two-part set alongside, V1 and V2. If you want as few bottles as possible, Bio G Power Groei Max covers the growth phase in a single component, and Biocanna Bio Vega does the same organically. Keep feeding through the stretch

Growth does not stop on the day you flip the lamp. The plant carries on stretching for roughly two weeks afterwards, and that stretch is paid for out of nitrogen. Switch straight to full bloom feed and the lower leaves yellow off while the top is still growing. Taper the vega dose across the first bloom weeks instead of dropping it in one go.

Stimulators alongside the base

Next to the base sit products that push growth rather than feed it: C-Result C-Silver, No Mercy Supply Grow Sensation and Sweet Jane 1. They do not replace a base feed, they come on top of one. One stimulator beside a complete line is enough; two doing the same job is paying twice.

Frequently asked questions

How long do I stay on growth feed?
Until roughly two weeks after the flip, tapering from there. The plant puts on much of its final height in that window, and that costs nitrogen.

Can I feed growth and bloom at the same time?
During the changeover, yes, and that is the point: you taper one down while building the other up. Running two complete base feeds from different brands side by side is a different matter, because then nobody is checking the ratio.

Why is there a pH product in here?
CANNA pH- Pro Groei is the growth-phase version of their pH down, matched to the composition of the vega feed. Everything else for correcting sits under pH Control.
