Vents does not make a single fan that does everything. The brand puts five families side by side and leaves the choice to you. That is helpful once you know what to look for, and confusing if you are shopping on diameter alone. This page sets out how those families differ.

The five families we stock

The VK series is centrifugal and the most common choice in a grow room. We carry it from 100 to 250 mm, in U and R versions and with Q and Duo variants. The TT and TT Pro are mixed-flow: they combine the pressure of a centrifugal fan with the shape of an axial one, so they keep pulling through a filter and a long duct. The VKO is axial and moves a lot of air against little resistance, which suits a run with barely any filtration in it. The Quietline sits in an insulated housing, for anyone whose cabinet stands next to a bedroom. The NK duct heaters are not fans at all but heating elements for the same ducting.

Where the choice usually goes wrong

Almost everyone starts at the diameter, which is the easy half. The hard half is the resistance in your system. A carbon filter, a long duct and every bend cost pressure, and an axial fan that looks generous on paper then delivers far less than its plate suggests. If there is a filter in your run, with Vents you will nearly always end up on the VK or the TT Pro.

What we do not stock from Vents

Vents is a large manufacturer whose range reaches well beyond growing, from domestic ventilation to industrial units. We stock only the sizes and families that belong in a grow room. If you have seen a Vents type elsewhere, do ask: it probably exists, but we have deliberately not put it on the shelf.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the TT and the TT Pro?
The same mixed-flow layout, but the Pro is the heavier build and runs up to 250 mm. Our plain TT stops at 150 mm.

Why do some VK models carry a U and others an R?
That is the housing and connection version. Check the product page itself, because what is available differs per size.

Can I run a Vents fan on a controller?
Yes, as long as the model allows it. We stock controllers under Measuring and Control; check per fan whether it is controlled steplessly or in fixed speeds.
