Growrilla does one thing and does it in eight sizes. Every system on this page is RDWC, recirculating deep water culture: the pots are connected, the water circulates and is aerated, and the roots sit in it permanently. So here you are not choosing a method but a scale, from 2 to 18 pots.

What makes RDWC different from plain DWC

With separate DWC buckets you measure and correct per bucket, and conditions drift apart per plant. With RDWC everything shares one reservoir: you measure once, adjust once and every plant gets the same. That is why the system can grow larger without the work growing with it.

What you give in return

A shared reservoir also means a shared problem. A root disease or a mistaken dose spreads across the whole setup rather than one plant, and if the pump or the aeration fails every plant finds out at once. Water temperature matters more here than with any other method on this site: warmer water holds less oxygen, and oxygen is what this system runs on. Count on checking daily.

Choosing on pot count

The builds run 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12 and 16 through to 18 pots. Choose with room to spare, because extending an RDWC is more work than adding a pot: you are lengthening the loop, and that affects the balance of the whole.
