Buying a line rather than separate bottles buys you one thing above all: a feed chart that adds up. The manufacturer has already worked out the ratios between the parts, so all that is left is choosing between two formats.

The feed chart is the actual product

Bottles from different brands look much alike; the difference is the chart that comes with them. It says what you give each week, in what order, and at what EC. The moment you mix parts from two lines that chart no longer applies and the maths becomes yours. That is possible, but it is work, and it is exactly why a line is sold as a whole.

A+B means four bottles in practice

An A+B line splits A from B, but it also splits growth from bloom. CANNA is here with Hydro Vega and Hydro Flores A+B, Aqua Vega and Aqua Flores A+B, and COGR Vega and COGR Flores A+B. Atami supplies B'cuzz Soil, Coco and Hydro Nutrition A+B, Bio G Power a Basis Voeding A+B and a Coco A+B, and C-Result the A&B All-in-One. Always add A and B to the water separately and stir in between, never undiluted into each other.

One component for less measuring

Aptus All-in-One comes as a powder and as a liquid, and Atami has the B'cuzz 1-Component soil feed. You give up some control, because the ratio between the parts is fixed and you can no longer shift it. What you get back is less work and fewer bottles, and anyone running more than one room usually finds that the deciding factor.

Not every line is on this page

Some lines belong so firmly to one medium that they sit on that medium's page instead. CANNA's Terra line is under Soil, and the coco lines from CANNA, Plagron and Hy-pro under Coco. If you have not settled on a medium yet, start there rather than with a brand.

Why is CANNA Terra not listed here?
Because that line only belongs in soil, so it sits under Soil with everything else you feed on ground. This page collects the lines you choose between per system.

Do I have to stick to one line completely?
For the base, yes, because that is what the chart is built on. Putting add-ons from another brand alongside it is normal and works fine in practice, as long as you are not giving two products with the same purpose.

What if I want to switch lines mid-grow?
You can, but do it at a phase change rather than in the middle of bloom. Flush the system in between if you grow on water, and start the new line at the lowest step of its chart instead of at the step you had reached.
