AquaKing covers the water side of a grow room broadly: pumps to move water, tanks to hold it, heating to keep it at temperature and sprayers to get it onto the leaf. Little of it is designed specifically for growing, and that is exactly why it works: this is solid pond and garden equipment that copes fine in a grow room.

The pumps, and what the number in the name means

The Q series submersibles run from 2800 to 11000 litres per hour, alongside the Q800103 as a high-pressure build and the Q2001 flat-suction pump that empties a tank to nearly the bottom. The HX series runs from 400 to 2000 litres per hour and is the smaller, more economical class.

Litres per hour is not the whole story

The number in the name is maximum capacity, measured against no back pressure. As soon as you pump upwards the same unit delivers less, and how much less depends on the height and on the hose diameter. If the water has to go up a floor or through a long thin line, size generously. A flat-suction pump emptying a tank does not need that margin; a pump filling a raised reservoir does.

The Aqua Heater tank heaters in 200, 300 and 500 watt keep feed water at temperature, which in a cold room in winter matters more than people expect. The folding water tanks run from 100 to 380 litres and suit anyone who wants to pack storage away out of season. And the pressure sprayers in 2, 5 and 8 litres, with a 140 cm extending lance for reaching high.

Which pump do I need for my system?
Look beyond litres per hour to the height you are pumping and the hose you are using. When in doubt, take a size up.

Can a submersible pump run dry?
No. A submersible cools on the water passing through it and takes damage without it. Make sure the tank cannot empty while the pump is running.

Why heat my feed water?
Cold water slows root uptake and chills the substrate. In an unheated room in winter it is one of the cheapest corrections you can make.
