Can-Fan splits its inline fans not by capacity but by how loudly they get there. All three lines we stock overlap in air movement; they differ in housing, and on a fan that runs around the clock that is usually the deciding factor.

RK, Max Fan Pro and Iso-Max

The RK series is the basis, from 270 to 830 m³ per hour, in L, S and LS versions. The Max Fan Pro sits in the higher class, from 600 to 1660 m³ per hour, and is built to hold pressure against a filter. The Iso-Max is the insulated build, from 410 to 1480 m³ per hour, with a double wall that keeps the noise inside the housing rather than in the room.

Two kinds of noise, two answers

A fan makes motor noise and air noise, and they call for different measures. Motor noise is dealt with by an insulating housing, which is what the Iso-Max is for. Air noise arises further along the duct and a silencer is what helps there; we stock those in 125, 160 and 250 mm. If you have a neighbour to think about, the two together nearly always beat running a heavier fan more slowly.

Fast Clamps and why they are here

The Fast Clamps are the quick couplings between fan, filter and ducting, in 100, 125 and 250 mm. They belong to the brand but fit more widely, and they save time every time you take a filter off to check it. We stock them separately because a setup comes apart more often than people expect when they buy one.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Iso-Max genuinely quieter or is the difference small?
The difference is in motor noise, which is exactly the noise that carries through a wall. For air noise the insulation matters less.

Can a Can-Fan be controlled steplessly?
That varies per model. Check the product page and our controllers under Measuring and Control.

Which size suits my tent?
Choose on your tent size and the resistance of filter and ducting, not on cubic metres alone. Our navigation by diameter and airflow band helps with that.
